Full Day Offshore Excursion: BARCELONA – SITGES – BARCELONA (7 hours approximate duration)

Enjoy a mesmerizing time travel experience which will take you 40 km all the way south from the modern and busy Barcelona to the daily life of the quiet seafront of a former fisherman’s village, cradle of the Art Nouveau, capital of the Fantastic Cinema, LGBT capital of Europe, the second most expensive real estate in Spain after San Sebastián, and famous for its carnival parades: Sitges.

Join your guide in an urban stroll through the intricate and narrow streets of Sitges Old Quarter and XIXth century enlargement, and discover in amazement the museums of Cau Ferrat & Maricel: Two thousand years of history waiting to quietly unveil its secrets to the careful eye and a truly slow paced discovery experience…

Follow your guide through the maze of the Old City, clueing together the vestiges of the long ago built walls which remain as a silent, timeless witness until arriving to the birth of a commercial and modern town that still continues to renovate itself decade after decade, where you will enjoy a completely new perspective of Barcelona´s surroundings at the end of your tour.

The meal will take part in the Vivero Beach Club Restaurant, literally hanging on the cliffs above the sea waves, and will include lovely seafood tapas to celebrate the beauty of the site before the afternoon drive back to Barcelona.

(Drop off Railway Station) by a Mercedes mini-bus for 25 pax.

The guide will conduct a panoramic explanation from the bus while driving in Barcelona and will highlight the interesting spots.

Built by the “indianos”, migrants who sailed into America in the 1800 and came back to Sitges carrying big fortunes with them. One of them, Facundo Bacardí, would found the famous Rhum brand. Walking in the Old town, seafront and stop for a coffee/snack in the celebrated “street of the sins”.

The extravagant American millionaire Charles Deering (owner of the tractors brand John Deer) bought some fishermen houses and converted them into his palace, today the museum.

It will take place at the Vivero Beach Club Restaurant, literally hanging on the cliffs, above the sea waves
